Hailed as an “intense, blossoming tenor,” Jonathan Elmore is distinguishing himself in opera, oratorio, and recital across the world. Recent highlights include his Metropolitan Opera debut as FBI 2 in the season opener, “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay”. In the 2026-27 season, he appears as a soloist in “The Music Cure / Follies” with the Evansville Philharmonic, returns to the Metropolitan Opera to reprise his role in Kavalier and Clay, performs Mozart’s Missa solemnis in C major with Northminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, and appears as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah in Seattle this December with the Harmonia Orchestra and Chorus.
Additional recent engagements include Governor & Vanderdendur (Candide) with the Northern Lights Music Festival, Gabriel von Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus) with IU Opera and Ballet Theatre, Uriel (Haydn’s Creation) with Fresno Community Chorus Inc., and a season as a Vocal Fellow at the Ravinia Steans Music Institute. He has also appeared with Indianapolis Opera, Music Academy of the West, Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Philharmonic Orchestra, Tel Aviv Summer Opera, and the Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra.
A native of Southwest Virginia, Jonathan is pursuing a Doctor of Music in Voice at Indiana University, where he also earned his Master of Music and serves as an Associate Instructor of Voice. He currently studies with soprano Heidi Grant Murphy and received his Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Virginia Tech under the tutelage of tenor Brian Thorsett.
Jacob Giancaterino graduated Summa Cum Laude in Piano Performance and Magna Cum Laude in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech. He studied privately with Dr. Richard Masters and Dr. Sarah Rushing, while participating in masterclasses with Dr. David Korevaar, Jonathan Biss, and Conrad Tao. A lover of vocal music, Jacob sang in the Virginia Tech choirs for 3 years and took a semester of “Opera Workshop.” Since returning to the Richmond area, Jacob has furthered his musical studies through organ lessons with Dr. Robert Gallagher and Dr. Bruce Stevens. He has served multiple churches in the area as organist and bass section leader, while also singing baritone in the Richmond Symphony Chorus. In July, Jacob will be attending an organ academy in Paris organized by Dr. Stevens where he will take lessons given by Professors Aude Heurtematte and Christophe Mantoux on 3 important French organs. ...
