First Presbyterian Church will have its traditional Christmas Eve Service of Lessons and Carols via the internet this year. The service will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2020 on the church’s YouTube channel FPC CovingtonVA.
The Rev. Susan Ennis will be reader for the biblical lessons, with organist/pianist Sandra Minter directing the carols.
Mrs. Minter comments, “This year has been different from anything any of us could have imagined and it has affected every area of our lives. Now, at the end of the year, our Christmas worship service will be part of all those changes. At First Presbyterian Church, we are planning to do all we can to have a meaningful, virtual Christmas Eve service.”
For those unable to join us at 5:00, the service will remain on the YouTube channel indefinitely, so they may open the YouTube Channel at any time.

The adult Sunday school class is hosted every Sunday at 9:30 by Rev. Susi Ennis on Zoom. Anyone interested in the class and discussion may email Pastor Susi at [email protected] to sign up for Zoom.

Please come out for this very special community Thanksgiving service for our downtown area. Several churches will come together for a time of fellowship and thanksgiving to God. All those from First Presbyterian Church, Good News Fellowship Church, Covington Baptist Church, Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emmanuel Episcopal Church are invited to attend and of course all are welcome.
